New: Laura is honoured with prestigious Fellowship

Today, it has been announced that I've been awarded another Fellowship from the public relations and communication industry, this time from the PRCA. I'm honoured to be included in such company.

20 new Fellows have been announced and are entitled to use the designatory letters FPRCA, and are invited to help shape thinking on the future of the industry.
 
Chairman of Fellows, Alison Clarke FPRCA, said:
 
“I would like to congratulate the 2020 class of Fellows who join at an important time for both our industry and association. This is an impressive group of industry leaders who will play an invaluable role in steering us forward.”

My first Fellowship was awarded in 2014 for my work with the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and I'm honoured to be included in such company in the PRCA's class of 2020.

I've dedicated 12+ years to helping develop my industry in the UK and beyond. My work with PRFest, an event now heading into its sixth year, has also helped speed up the modernisation of skills and thinking.

I've held positions in the CIPR such as Chair of the Scottish membership, member of the Institute's Council, Board Director and most recently, after serving my full terms, I Chair the Fellows' Forum.

I currently also Chair the PRCA's Scotland group and sit on its Council, and I support the PRCA's Diversity and Inclusion Council.

My passion for the progression and professionalisation of the PR and communication industry is part of my DNA.

I developed the CIPR's free mentoring scheme, Progress, this year, which has seen me mentor three members. This led to the development of my own private client mentoring and development coaching programme, helping other practitioners carve their own pathways, develop personally and professionally.

It's no wonder that 50% of my business is now consulting with other PR and communication professionals, helping them overcome challenges and work towards career goals.

I will continue to support my industry to develop and diversify it's thinking, people and skills.
